03Living Here

Pererenan is a village. Narrow roads, ceremonies, children playing, people sleeping. The character that makes it worth living in is also what needs protecting.

Three issues the community has flagged: speeding, loud exhausts, and pavement blocking.

🔊
NOISE

Modified exhausts cause sleep disruption, chronic stress and cardiovascular risk. Illegal under Indonesian traffic law.

🏍️
SPEED

Village roads are shared with slow bikes, children, dogs and elderly residents. Speeding is a criminal offence if it results in an accident.

🚗
PAVEMENT BLOCKING

Businesses that facilitate parking on the pavement block pedestrians and force people onto the road.
